Gilding Tool
Agate Burnisher
Agates are semi-precious stones, containing a siliceous source as main raw material. There are different colours of the agate. For gilding one uses dense, uniformly structured agates, which are placed in metal ferrules. The agate stones are suitable for all metal leaves that can be processed by water gilding technique. The surface of the stone must be mattfinished before using. Agate Burnishers are very sensitive to scratching or damage. It is recommended to keep them in a pocket.
