To start this workshop, we will dedicate ourselves to the exciting interplay of matt and glossy gilding. With Cologne Instacoll and Permacoll, we create a frame that is colourfully designed by a clever combination with Cologne Caselo. In the next step, the participants learn how to apply expressive patterns and decorative designs with Cologne Signcoll and Archicoll as well as a selection of stencils, ideal for special accents and individual design ideas. The final step is the application of Cologne Miniatum on canvas, a technique that combines modern gilding with artistic expression. On Saturday, a very special highlight awaits the participants of our workshop, the artistic world of Kintsugi optics. With the Cologne Fine Detail Kit, we create filigree gilding, inspired by the Japanese art of repair, which does not hide breaks, but refines them. In addition, we dedicate ourselves to the application of Cologne Miniatum, a special adhesive for fine calligraphy on paper and the gilding of one’s own handwriting. The finale is painting on gold leaf. Here, traditional techniques meet contemporary creativity as we work with brush and paint on the noble gold ground. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn new techniques, try out high-quality materials and develop your own artistic signature.
